Developing mobile apps is attractive for many reasons, but the cost and time investment to get started can be intimidating. Developing a native app for every platform requires a different development toolset and duplicate code bases. Mobile Web sites have a single code base, but limited access to native device capabilities and aren't deployable by the store model. Hybrid mobile apps can be the best of both worlds. Using Apache Cordova, you can build rich mobile apps that have access to the native device capabilities using HTML5, JavaScript and CSS. In this session, you'll learn how to develop hybrid mobile apps that you can submit to the store using skills you already know as a web developer.
