In a perfect world, software engineers who create the best code are the most successful. However, that success also depends on people working together to get the job done. The success of a team can only happen when good processes and practices are established that unite the group. Too often, this leads many to deem software development as an unmanageable process.
While adding some formal discipline to the development process has improved the situation, it has by no means solved the problem. Compounding the issue is the constant pressure to foster innovation within the team. This session will address these challenges with techniques for hiring, motivating and leading development teams. This will include evaluations on team structure, advice on building stakeholder loyalty, guidelines for recruiting talent, analyzing the impact of technical debt, and enabling the spirit of innovation.
You will learn:
- About team management, structure and inspiration
- How to implement execution strategies
- How to handle change management
